FOUNDING PILOT 2026 | BY APPLICATION

A space to step back and see differently

Caring professionals carry a great deal.

We listen, respond, make decisions, navigate complexity and hold space for other people. Yet there are surprisingly few places where we can step outside the immediacy of our work and reflect — not simply on what we do, but on how we are showing up within it.

The Deeply Implicit™ Founding Reflective Practice Pilot creates that space.

It brings together six caring professionals from different disciplines in a confidential, creatively facilitated environment where you can slow down, bring real questions from your practice, encounter perspectives beyond your own profession, and discover insights you might not see alone.

As a founding participant, you’ll also have the opportunity to help shape and refine this emerging approach to cross-disciplinary reflective practice.

This is space to:

  • gain fresh perspective on complex or challenging practice situations

  • recognise patterns, assumptions and blind spots that can be difficult to see from inside your own professional world

  • learn from the wisdom and experience of practitioners from diverse disciplines

  • explore the practitioner behind the practice — your responses, values, boundaries and ways of working

  • move from reflection toward practical insight you can take back into your work

  • experience genuine professional connection without the pressure to perform, teach or have the answer

  • contribute to something new — Help shape a distinctive approach to cross-disciplinary reflective practice through your participation, experience and thoughtful feedback.

What happens inside a Reflective Practice Pod?

Each 90-minute gathering is facilitated by Dr Linda Young and creates a structured but spacious environment for reflection, conversation and discovery.

Across the three-session Founding Pilot, we will:

Pause and arrive
Step out of the pace and demands of professional life and create space to notice what is happening within you and your practice.

Explore real practice
Bring de-identified situations, questions or dilemmas from your work — not necessarily to “solve” them, but to explore what may be happening beneath the surface.

See through different lenses
Hear the questions, perspectives and insights of caring professionals from diverse disciplines. What seems obvious through one professional lens can look quite different through another.

Reflect on the practitioner behind the practice
Notice the values, assumptions, responses, boundaries and patterns that influence how you work.

Integrate what you discover
Identify insights, questions or possibilities to carry back into your professional practice.

This isn’t about six people giving you advice. It’s about six people helping one another see what may be difficult to see alone.

Why "Founding"?

As a Founding Participant, you’ll experience the Deeply Implicit™ approach to cross-disciplinary reflective practice while helping us explore, develop and refine its distinctive methodology.

Through three creatively facilitated gatherings, we’ll discover together what makes this kind of reflective community most valuable.

Your experiences, insights and thoughtful feedback will help shape future Reflective Practice Pods, while you receive the full professional reflective experience of the pilot itself. This first Pod is not simply the first intake of a finished program.

Only six places are available, with participants intentionally drawn from different professional disciplines.

Is this Founding Pilot for you?

The Founding Reflective Practice Pod is designed for people whose work involves supporting, guiding, caring for or accompanying others.

You might be a counsellor, therapist, professional supervisor, spiritual director, chaplain, pastoral care practitioner, minister, social worker, coach, health professional or work in another caring profession.

It may be particularly valuable if you:

  • want more space to think deeply about your practice, rather than simply keep doing

  • value reflective practice but often find it difficult to make time for it

  • are curious about what professionals outside your own discipline might help you see

  • sometimes carry complex situations that benefit from thoughtful reflection

  • want to become more aware of yourself as the practitioner, not just develop more techniques

  • value confidential, respectful conversation over advice-giving

  • enjoy learning alongside people who bring different perspectives

You don’t need to arrive with a problem to solve.
You simply need to bring your professional experience, your curiosity, and a willingness to reflect.
